Skipping the Coffee Shop (...and saving a few bucks!)
Whether you are based at home or at the office, you can still be guilty of spending a little too much on an overpriced cup of coffee. Your poison may be a latte, machiatto, espresso - or any other fancy hot beverage, but the odds are you are paying far too much for something you can attempt to replicate for yourself.
Well, friend, you are in luck because I am about to offer up a few yummy tried and true alternatives for your caffeine needs!
If you don't have a fancy coffee machine such as a Keurig, you need not fret, as it is still very possible to bend the mold when it comes to your morning coffee.
EASY
You don't need an espresso machine to perk you up in the morning. Simply brew a double strong batch of coffee, with less water added than usual.
EASIER
The easiest method is to just brew a pot of your choice of ground coffee and mix with store bought creamer. Those creamers are very unhealthy and chemical laden.. they can also start to add up fairly quickly. But what if I told you that you could make your own creamer with a few simple ingredients?
EASIEST
Starbucks VIA packets are much cheaper than buying an entire beverage and can be customzed to your liking. They can not only be enjoyed with hot water or regular dairy milk, but you can experiment with sweetened condensed milk, vanilla almond milk, soy milk or cream. Take it up a notch an add as much or as little whipped cream as you like, then garnish with spices like cinnamon or allspice as you wish.
